Organisation : Conférence en ligne dans le cadre du projet Solidarity in Climate Change le 04 juin 2024, par Sofia Guevara et Corinne Larrue

The SOLARIS research project (Solidarity in Climate Change) supported by the JPI Solstice programme, is pleased to announce its final conference.

SOLARIS focuses on the climate change adaptation policies, on how they take into account the link between floods and socio-spatial inequalities.

SOLARIS evaluates the design of instruments, local governance and implementation of ongoing projects based on national and case study analysis. Our starting hypothesis is that social and spatial inequalities exist and threaten the implementation of climate change adaptation policies and the equitable participation of affected citizens.

The final conference is held online, on 4 June 2024,
(CET). During the event the main results of the SOLARIS project have been presented
in 3 main sessions:

  • Session #1 on the issues of equity and justice identified and addressed in Flood Risk Management;
  • Session #2 on policy commitment to ensure that different vulnerability situations are taken into account;
  • Session #3 on the implications of the results for practitioners.

The detailed programme have been available since early May.

Each session is organised around the presentation of the synthesis of the project results and a discussion from one or more external researchers or practitionners.

There have time for questions and answers at the end of each session.
