Partnerships
The Lab’Urba is committed to the co-creation and (co-management/ co-leadership) of medium- and long-term collaborative spaces that bring together experts, researchers, urban practitioners, and institutional stakeholders. These cooperative spaces aim to: stimulate knowledge production; establish a recognised platform for exchange and debate; encourage collaborative action-research initiatives; fund PhD theses; facilitate knowledge dissemination; and serve as a resource center. These partnerships simultaneously target professional sectors, the general public, and academic communities.

Local Finance Network
This network was established in 2014 at the initiative of the Assembly of French Communities and is (co-managed) by Lab’Urba. It is supported by the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, La Banque Postale, and the Ministère de la Transition écologique. The network also relies on collaborations with key stakeholders in the field, such as Fondafip, an international public finance think tank, and GRALE, a research center specialising in local administrations in Europe.

Land Issues Debate Network
This network was co-established in 2013 by Lab’Urba, which has since held its presidency. It brings together diverse professionals (planners, urban developers, notaries, financiers, local authorities, farmers, etc.) and researchers (urban planners, economists, legal scholars, geographers, ecologists, anthropologists, etc.). They are jointly committed to advancing and disseminating knowledge on land-related topics, including zero net land take (ZAN), homeownership access, and land value capture.

Aménager le Grand Paris Chair
Established in 2017 by the Paris School of Urban Planning, the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC), the Île-de-France Public Land Establishment (EPF Île-de-France), and the Société du Grand Paris, the Chair aims to analyse and support the evolution of planning practices as well as the renewal of operational planning tools within the metropolitan context of Grand Paris. The Chair’s activities integrate academic training, research, and expertise with the skills and experiences of planning professionals. It is affiliated with several research laboratories. Lab’Urba leads multiple research programs within the Chair and holds scientific responsibility and oversight for all research themes of the national POPSU Transition Grand Paris research program funded by the Ministère de la Transition écologique, for which the Chair is a laureate in the Île-de-France region.

Land Transition Chair
Initiated in 2023 by the Gustave Eiffel University Foundation and the Institute for Land Transition, and supported by the School of Architecture of the City and Territories as well as the Paris City Engineering School, the Chair is affiliated with the OCS team of the UMR AUSSER research unit and Lab’Urba, who participates in the governance of the project. Conceived as a response to the need for a unifying project between researchers and operational stakeholders (local authorities, urban developers, project managers, etc.), it aims to establish a forum for interdisciplinary exchange on land issues, including the restoration of ecological functions of degraded soils, transformations of economic models in urban planning and real estate, and governance challenges related to land.

Observatory on Free Public Transport in Cities
Established in 2019 through a joint initiative by the Agence d'urbanisme de la région Flandre-Dunkerque, the Communauté urbaine de Dunkerque, and several researchers including a Lab’Urba member who co-chairs the observatory with support from the Agency for Transition Ecologique (ADEME) and the Forum Vie Mobile. Its objective is to enhance knowledge about free public transport; monitor developments in transport fare-free policies; evaluate the impacts of these public policies; and serve as a platform for disseminating information to political and technical stakeholders as well as the general public.
