Passerelle Association

The governance and effective functioning of the research unit are supported by the active engagement of doctoral candidates through the Passerelle Association. This platform promotes collaboration and cross-cutting initiatives, fostering stronger connections across the unit. Alongside elected doctoral representatives on the Laboratory Council, the Passerelle Association acts as a key interlocutor for the leadership team.

Thematic referents

Governance is further supported by a system of designated officers responsible for five thematic areas:

These officers monitor developments in their respective areas and act as points of contact for laboratory members and management.

Lab’Urba 1point5 Collective

The unit’s governance is also structured around a low-carbon trajectory for Lab’Urba’s activities. A dedicated working group, Lab’Urba 1point5, has been established in alignment with the national research network Labos 1point5, which aims to understand and reduce the carbon footprint of research.

The group comprises volunteers representing all member categories of the laboratory.

Supervising Universities

Université Gustave Eiffel (UGE)

Cities and territories are constantly evolving. Recognising this shared vision, six higher education and research institutions, each with recognised expertise in the field of sustainable urban development, have come together to pool their skills and know-how to create a new kind of international university: Université Gustave Eiffel. Formed from a shared history that began over 20 years ago, this institution was officially created on 1 January 2020, and brings together a university (UPEM), a research institute (IFSTTAR), an architecture school (Éav&t), and three engineering schools (EIVP, ENSG, and ESIEE Paris).
